  About Robert Kayton
 

Dr. Kayton has been in private clinical practice since 1970. In addition to his practice, he is Director of the Center for the Treatment of Anxiety and Stress, and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the George Washington University Medical School and is a member of the faculty at the Washington School of Psychiatry.

Dr. Kayton received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts, at Amherst interned at the Northwestern University Medical School, and completed his postdoctoral training at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute. While developing his practice, he had served as Chief Psychologist and Assistant to the Director of Mental Health, Prince George's County, Maryland and was a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Dr. Kayton works with pre-adolescents and adolescents, adults and seniors, in individual, group, couples, and family therapy.
